My name is Maike and I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Besides my job as a teacher Art & Design, I develop iOS apps, making WordPress Websites and dive into the world of UX/UI Design.
On Fridays, you can often find me at A-Lab, collaborating with Wesley, Mark & Antos and on Saturday mornings at Appsterdam Coffee Coding, which I lead with Daniel Varga. I am very fortunate to have friends as smart, inspiring and helpful coders (Samuel, Wesley and Mark). Thanks guys!

Applying Design Thinking with developers related to Game Development.
Team: Daniel, Mike, Hans, Laurens, Stas, Eugenio, Maike

Design Thinking is an iterative process of understanding the user and their interests and building games that capture their attention.
Daniel came up with a challenge related to game development. He wants to develop a game and he came across some issues.

Empathize
Empathizing seems to come very natural in game development. Empathizing with the user and with Daniel who wants to demonstrate his coding skills.

Define
* What is the actual problem we are trying to solve?
Design / Score Table / Multi Player / Technical Skills / Game will demonstrate Daniels’ proficiency in web development

Ideate
The team generated as many ideas and potential solutions as possible.
The most craziest ideas came up. Many of the developers had experience with gaming.

Prototyping and Testing
After the Ideation, we moved on to the Prototype stage. Building a low-fidelity prototype of the ideas generated, ready for testing on real users. This working Game “SpaceShooter” Prototype is made by Eugenio written in Dart Flutter.
The link with the game was send to potential players to get their feedback.

After the workshop Eugenio continued working on the game and with some changes he published it in the Google Play Store:  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tpnerd.spaceshooter

For this mobile concept I used Figma to make a prototype. This app idea is based on UITableViews.
